This past September, the Pearl District Business Association (PDBA) opened nominations for its second annual Pearl District Business Awards to recognize individuals and businesses that are making a difference within Portland’s flourishing Pearl District. The award winners were then honored at a luncheon on Monday, November 14th at the Benson Hotel. Click here for complete list of winners.
The event was held on November 14th at The Benson Hotel Award winners Erika Wrenn (Real Estate Sales Person of the Year) and Ciara Pressler (Women in Business Champion) World Foods won the Business Award for Family Owned Business of the Year Davide Filippini (center) accepted the award for Restaurant of the Year on behalf of Gallo Nero Cider Bite was awarded Emerging Retailer of the Year Business Person of the Year, Jessi Duley (founder of BurnCycle) poses with her daughter The award for Technology Champion of the Year went to Vacasa The Pearl District Business Awards honored sixteen businesses in the Pearl Matt Trenkle, co-founder of Greenleaf Juicing Company accepted the award for Retail Merchant of the Year John Carroll was awarded Developer of the Year Jackie Labrecque, reporter at Katu, was the emcee for the event Nam Huynh accepted the award for Minority Business Champion of the Year for Adore Day Spa The event attendees enjoyed lunch while the award winners were announced Portland Center Stage was awarded Service Provider of the Year Ramzy Hattar, owner of River Pig Saloon won the Community Ambassador award Augusto Carneiro, owner of Nossa Familia Coffee was the keynote speaker Jaclyn Mason was awarded Property Manager of the Year Ana Dugan won Financial Service Provider of the Year Marcus Harvey, owner of Portland Gear won the Friend of the Pearl award Alex Hughes, co-founder of CENTRL Office won the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year award
